While we bask in the wonders of Taylor, Olivia, and Janelle on the 2024 Grammys, we can’t help but think back to some of the most unforgettable performances in the previous 65 years of the award show.

Michael Jackson – 1988: The King of Pop’s heartfelt performance of “Man in the Mirror” remains etched in our memories, even for those that may not have seen it the first time. During the performance, emotion oozed from every ounce of MJ, so much so that his backup singers were left checking to be sure he was actually ok through the performance.
Whitney Houston – 1994: Whitney’s mesmerizing rendition of “I Will Always Love You” showcased her powerful vocals and left the audience reeling from her talent.
Eminem Feat. Elton John – 2001: This phenomenal and surprising collaboration on “Stan” bridged generational gaps. An unexpected pairing, the performance showcased the diversity of the Grammy stage and transcended genres, leaving a lasting impact.
Beyoncé – 2010: Beyoncé’s breathtaking version of “If I Were a Boy” demonstrated her unrivaled stage presence and vocal prowess. The surprising addition of “You Oughtta Know” gave the audience a new look on Beyonce’s talent.
